Community annotation of rice gene families are provided by members of the rice community who have curated rice gene families and submitted their functional and/or structural annotation to the Rice Genome Annotation Project. The community annotations are displayed at the Community Annotation of Rice Gene Families page and also can be viewed along the Rice Genome Annotation as a track in the Rice Genome Browser.

If you would like to submit community annotation, please email us with your name, organization, and the gene family you want to submit annotation for. If you have any questions, please email rice@plantbiology.msu.edu or use the comment box on the Contact Us page.

If your gene family has a large number of members, you may wish to provide your community annotation as a text file or excel file. Please register first as a community annotator by email before sending your file of community annotation, so we can set up a database account for you.
